Raleigh, NC - Forbes #1 "Best Place to Sell a Home"] http://www.hpwnow.com/NowImages/Forbes_Logo.jpg (broken link)

Though the nation is experiencing falling prices for existing homes, high volume of new home construction, and tightening of credit and lending standards - it is evident that not every market follows national trends.
Raleigh, North Carolina ranked #1 in Forbes "Five Best Places to Sell a Home." Strong in-migration stemming from local economic strength keeps demand high. New houses being built isn't a problem if there are new people moving to town. Moderate growth and disciplined building over the last five years prevented the market from developing a significant glut. Additionally, a strong local economy has helped contribute to the city's healthy 1.6% vacancy rate. What's more, the rate of home sales against home inventory was healthy in Raleigh; in this category, it ranked fifth best of big cities, according to Moody's metrics. Even though the market has low vacancy to begin with and displayed strong construction restraint during the housing boom, Raleigh still has the eighth best rate of tightening.

The only housing bubble in Raleigh, NC is the one that separates it from slumping markets nationwide.

Can't believe I posted this here. It was very early this morning and someone sent me a private post asking about this article, and I just did a cut an paste. I had 2 browsers opened up, because I was going to post something else about another Raleigh link I found, and I cut and pasted that to her, and posted this one here. lol And yes I do know this came out 2 months ago :-) Thats what I get trying to do about 3-4 things at one time. One day I'm going to send someone an email that should of gone to someone else. hmmmm have I done that one yet, sounds familiar. I guess that just shows I'm not perfect......who is? I do thought resent the negative comment I got privately. Sorry that bothered you that much that you had to send that. :-)

As always have a great weekend,

Debbie

Neg comment? Why would you receive a neg comment on a story you have no control over, and actually was informative? That's silly.

It was discussed before, but so are alot of other things everyday on here,

It really doesn't bother me, but I did. :-) No problem their are negative people everywhere. I'm not that way, but know some people have to be, to make them feel better I guess.

Have a great evening,
Debbie
