If you are interested in what is going on in downtown Cary and missed the meeting last week, The Cary Citizen has a great summary!

One thing that is a shame with Cary is how they allowed so many of their historic buildings to be razed in the 70s and 80s to be replaced with ugly stripmall looking buildings.

Thanks a million.

Best news is about the library. Great librarians but the place is small and always packed full. I do my best to keep the circ stats up in hopes they will expand.

The only thing that stinks about Cary's downtown is that it isn't in the center of town. With all the expansion downtown Cary is on the Eastern edge of town. It would still be quite a trek for those on the West side of town or those on the Chatham Cty side of Cary.

lol I still think of that side of Cary as being Morrisville. If you look at it on a map it looks like Cary is a Pac Man swallowing Morrisville.

Cary is about 22 miles long from West Lake to Stonewater.

The folks in West Lake are probably think they are far southeast from the center of town.

I wonder how many residents of Cary never go to the center of town, and if we will have an issue similar to inferred favoritism a la some folks in Raleigh worrying about favoritism and public investment Downtown?
