Hi All,

My hsuband has eczema. Does anyone have a dermatologist they would recommend? I would especially love a recommendation by someone that was treated for something similar. We live in East Raleigh and work in RTP.

Thank you!

Default Eczema

I think it was Blue Ridge Dermatalogy that I took my 1 year old daughter too. She gave her Desonide and in the span of 2 months, it was all gone. And this was in June July time frame. Now, my daughter does't have any on the skin but I am still avoiding some foods that may trigger it.

My son's eczeme was gone but it is returning now after an year. He was not treated here, so I am planning to take him there.

Doctor's name is Lavanya Nagaraj.

I hope that helps you.

Blue Ridge Dermatology is a good recommendation. Our doc is Dr. O'Rourke.

Default Derm

Dr Adnan Nasir of Wake Derm is great. Practice is off Lake Boone and very well qualified as you will see when you look him up.

Eczema in adults is different than in kids. It doesn't go away like it does in kids when they grow out of it. I've been to dermatologists that didn't help me...sorry. But tell your husband that if it's bad enough that he can't sleep he can ice the area down which will numb it and he'll be able to sleep. Also, organic cold-pressed coconut oil is very helpful. I take 2-3 tablespoons a day (in a smoothie) and use it topically as a moisturizer. It does stain clothing but it really helps. It'll take a week or two to begin to see results and must be used consistently.

Dr. Ghate is excellent. All physicians in this practice are women. Blue Ridge Dermatology. Close to Rex Hospital. Between Rex and Crabtree Valley Mall.
Blue Ridge Dermatology Associates, P.A.

I know it's a bit of your way, but I would *highly* recommend Dr. Robin Thompson at Chapel Hill Dermatology (across the street from University Mall), easy access by a few miles from I-40. She's in demand, though, so her appointments fill early. Absolute professional, very caring and personable. She has been nothing less than a godsend to me (psoriasis). I have recommended her to several people in the past and we all rave about her.

Taking my Mom to UNC dermatology for scalp psoriasis and basal cell carcinoma. Usually can get in within a few weeks. More than pleased with her care. She is seen by a dermatology resident and then by the supervising physician. I would recommend them.
