Cafe Harmony - Home

I haven't been to Remedy Diner as of yet.. their menu doesn't really appeal to me though I will probably give it a try at some point.

Wow I'm really surprised Cafe Harmony closed! They always seemed to have steady business whenever I went in there.

Well, we're gonna need a tapas place now that Red Room is closing.

I suspect that's because if you mention a chain people have been to one or at least know its reputation. There's a little pancake restaurant outside Woodstock Vermont called Blanche and Bill's pancake house that I'd love to have in my neighborhood but I doubt more than half a dozen people reading this have ever heard of it. Far more know of the dutch babies and apple pancakes served by the Original Pancake House chain. Mmmmm dutch babies.

Im not a big fan of chains. If you drive down any major road in the us, you'll see the same crap (applebees, fridays, ihop, outback) even a target/walmart and other major retailers. It isn't making towns distinct any longer. Granted, if you're a weary traveler and crave heavily salted, microwaved, over 1000 calorie meals to make you feel at "home", you can def find the homogenous chains in whatever city you land in.

I totally agree. I would love good italian take out or a pasta night at a good italian place. I have not been able to find an italian resturant with a pasta night.

I vote for a real Italian deli. The kind that makes fresh mozzarella and has the provolone hanging from the rope.

ME TOO! I was so sad when I returned to the area to find that they had closed. They had fantastic sandwiches.
