It started going live unofficially a week or two ago, but AT&T just officially announced a major expansion of its 4G LTE service that includes the "Raleigh" and "Chapel Hill" markets. Not entirely sure how Durham fits in, and there's certainly going to be some bleed over coming in from Raleigh and Chapel Hill, but I guess Durham is not officially live yet.

Lots of other big markets in this round too...NYC, LA, Bay Area, Phoenix, etc.

Verizon LTE customers are getting wicked fast speeds. Curious to see how AT&T compares.

The Durham towers got hit with a lot of celebratory fire from the new years. So they are delayed in the release.

My LTE speeds have dipped into the 10/6mbps lately, I was getting 35/15mpbs when it was first released.

Yeah... it's a reference to a recent thread about celebratory gunfire:

Have fun but don't shoot a gun!

Kind of odd that Durham wasn't included in the AT&T rollout, but no big deal to me. I'm not upgrading until the first LTE-capable iPhone is released, anyway. I'm looking forward to the higher speeds, though.
