We ended up going to Big Ed's on Sunday rather than Capital Club (they opened too late for our rumbling tummies) and it's much better than what I remember from years ago when I last went there. The sausage and cheddar omelet was fantastic and the grits have improved immensely.

The food in those pics looks so delish it's making me hungry! I don't think there's any restaurant comperable to that in the Triangle. If you do, please let us know!

In Durham, but Daisy Cakes just started offering Saturday Brunch. The menu looks fab and coupled with a visit to the Farmers Market, it has all the makings of a swell morning.

Hah! I just came here to post this! It does sound amazing.

Note to OP: You just can't cross Durham off the list if you want to experience the best the Triangle has to offer regarding the foodie scene.

The new Simply Crepes restaurant in Lafayette Village in N. Raleigh is one of our favorites.

I almost hesitate to mention it...The Flying Biscuit in Cameron Village. But get there early!

Anyone done the brunch at Busy Bee? We're thinking of checking it out tomorrow.

The Twisted Fork at Triangle Town Center does a great Sunday brunch. As for the rest of the week, not much to choose from. Bob Evans is where we usually end up for lack of other choices. I've been saying for 5 years, Wake Forest needs more restaurants that do breakfast. The choices are very limited. If I could afford it and knew how, I'd open a place because there is no doubt it would succeed if the food was good and priced right.
