My son who lives in Clayton called and said a Tornado touched down near the middle school. It is not near the house I having built and am wondering if anyone else heard about it.

I don't think it touched down, but there was a report of a funnel cloud over the school.

Yes and no.

A friend of a friend was actually right across the street when it happened and saw the whole thing.
Now, a SCHOOL DANCE was actually taking place at the very moment it happened, everyone is fine!

A funnel did come down, touch the ground and went across part of the parking lot, it then went back up in the air, went across the school and touched down once again on the other side. The only damage that we know of is some mild roof damage. Again, everyone is fine!!!

We hid in our downstairs closet during the storm, heard a little roar then nothing. Five minutes pass and one of our neighbors rang our doorbell, scared the living daylights out of us!!!

Hope everyone else is okay!!!

They spotted one over Fuquay as well. The lightening was very frightening here in Holly Springs.
