My husband and I live in Maine and are looking at the possibility of "hanging a shingle" in Cary or even hooking up with someone established who would like to retire in the near future.
Would anyone like to comment on the new business climate in the Cary area? Would you say that the area is small-business friendly?
I think that would be the perfect move for you. I don't know what part of Maine you are from, but there is not much work I hear in the state of Maine. Don't get me wrong,I love Maine. Both my parents are from that state. I go back every year, and was just there a month ago in Portland, and Sebago Lake. They left for work though, and found themselves in Conn. We have so many northerners relocating to the area, that my last 9-10 clients were either from NY, NJ, Boston, and the last 5 from CT. They are coming for the weather, cost of living as well as jobs. I myself love Cary no matter what you read on hear,so I say hang that shingle in Cary. If your good at what you do and market yourself well, its a booming area. Good Luck to you in your choices.
