I went to a very nice bakery today called Guglhupf in Durham. If you didn't know it was there, you'd miss it. They had very nice pasteries and even a cafe with a restaurant. Are there any other European style bakeries in the triangle that sell fancy pasteries, breads, and cakes? I also went to Foster's Market (again in Durham). What a cute little cafe with a yummy breakfast menu, great coffee, and baked goods! I would highly recommend it.
Try Gourmandises de France in Raleigh at the corner of Creedmoor and Millbrook roads. This is a French bakery: pastries, breads, cakes, etc. Very yummy!
