I have found Sur La Table has a deeper selection than WS and has many prep items at a lower cost also. They do have plenty of high end stuff as well, but most stores have whole sections of small baking items that WS doesn't have at all.
To me Williams Sonoma seems to be more about selling their own kits of sauces, spices, etc and Sur La Table is more about the actual cooking or baking. There is a whole lot more specialty items at Sur La Table as well as more decorative merchandise.
Lulu lemon and athlete are a couple of recent additions I love. Michael kors is also opening soon.
Also Vera Bradley, Madewell, West Elm and Brooks Brothers. So happy that Durham is getting great new stores. It's definitely solidifying itself as the best mall shopping in our area.
How does a Sur la Table differ from the ubiquitous Williams-Sonoma? Looking at their web page, they seem to carry a lot of the same items.
I think Sur la Table is more affordable than Williams-Sonoma... they seem to have a lot more small items such as kitchen gadgets, linens, plates, etc and not as much appliances, etc.
