Does anyone know of any "Shred It" events coming up in the next few weeks.
I found one on Sept 15th, but would love to find one sooner.

Had no idea this existed. Our shredder broke when I tried to shred a metallic credit card...stuff has been piling up...was thinking about bringing it to work but that is kinda weird. Thanks. Sorry can't answer your question though.

When I was moving and needed to get rid of some stuff I went here: Public Drop Off Phoenix Resources Recycling

It was quick and the price was reasonable.

I think I saw something recently from Staples that allows you to drop off a certain amount there at no cost. Call one local to you to check the details.

Cary is holding a shredding event on November 17 -- mark your calendars!

Many UPS stores offer shredding. The one in Cameron Village has a locked bin that is shredded by Iron Mountain. Personally, if I have paperwork that warrants shredding rather than regular disposal, I would not give it to a stranger to shred. I'd buy an inexpensive shredder and do it myself, or take it somewhere I can watch it being shred.

For anyone interested, there is a free shredding event at Coastal Federal Credit Union on St. Albans Drive in Raleigh on October 20.

The Town of Cary has one each year; last years was in November, so it should be coming around again. It was held in the parking lot of Carolina Pottery on Harrison.

I don't understand why people allow others to shred their documents. Seems kind of strange to me that you have something you deem worthy of shredding but yet you hand it over to someone else to do it for you. Go to Target and buy a shredder!
