First let me say that hands down, forever, for all eternity...to me Casey's Buffet in Wilmington has the best fried chicken. And everything else.

I don't live there anymore.

What are your faves in the triangle? Especially if they are in Durham...thanks!

BBQ Lodge on Capital Blvd. in Raleigh has very good fried chicken. I'm not a fan of their bbq...but the chicken is on the money!

Have you ever been to Shrimp Boats in Durham (across from Foster's Market)? They have this sandwich where they take fried chicken, chop it up into bits, and then serve it on a bun. It's super tasty. They have tasty regular fried chicken too. Prices are very reasonable - they're only open on weekdays though, much to my chagrin!

Last time I went to Bullock's the fried chicken was so good I didn't even complain about the grasshopper in my string beans.

The Colonial Inn in Hillsborough had the very fried chicken. So sad when it closed.

Churches Fried Chicken is good. I believe there's still one on S. Miami Blvd.

Smithfield's Chicken and BBQ has very good fried and BBQ chicken. For fried chicken, I like Beaseley's (downtown Raleigh). I like the fried chicken from K&W Cafeteria at Cameron Village (Raleigh). I know, you prefer Durham but just throwing out suggestions!

Another vote for Casey's -- isn't it worth the drive?

Casey's really is worth the drive...not just for the chicken, but the fried okra. I never in my life thought I'd crave fried okra.

I do love Smithfields - will try all of these, thanks!

I tried Bullock's today and thought it was very good.
