Does anyone know of any cheap parking options for the airport? Preferably a place close by with a shuttle. This will be for 6 days. I have used fast park and relax in the past but their prices have went up. It seems a bit much to pay $30 to park for 6 days. Especially because 2 years ago they were only $3.00 a day. I've tried searching google but haven't had much luck . I Know I have seen other shuttles at the airport other than fast park and relax..

I use Fast Park. Shuttle comes to your car, helps you with your luggage and drop off/pick up on the lower level. When you return you get a free bottle of water and a car wash.

I use PreFlight Parking. You can make a reservation online (for covered or uncovered parking) and while on the website, print off a coupon for 35% off your entire bill. The shuttle will take you to the airport or even to the car rentals. You can prepay and save even more - it's about $4.70 per day for uncovered and $6 for covered.

I think the rates have gone up. Their website has a coupon for 35% off rates, which is $5.50 for uncovered parking and $6.75 for covered. Same rate for prepaid. Otherwise it's $8.50/day uncovered and$9.95 covered.

OP - I don't believe Fast Park ever intended to keep rates at $3/day. That was to break into the market when RDU parking was (and still is) $6/day and Pre-Flight was in the $4-5 range. Obviously they have built a following and feel the market will bear a higher price.

This old thread had a couple suggestions if your employer has some deals set up for parking (last few posts): RDU Parking: How can I find out if any of the long term lots have open spaces?
