I am getting ready to enroll my child in Kindergarten and won't be sending him to our base school.
The principal at the school we wish to transfer to, and the secretary in the office, both said it's not hard to transfer in and that she (the secretary) doesn't remember ever rejecting any requests.
Good news, but my question is how exactly to arrange this transfer--what kind of hardship request do I allege, when the fact is that I won't be sending my son to our base school because it's terrible. I don't think that would fly.
My understanding from others is that transport issues/child care related issues usually work well to justify a transfer...ie. if one parent works near the school such that it would be easier on the family to have the child at the school closer to the workplace than your home.
