Would appreciate some current feedback on Hasentree. I saw some feedback on the forum, but most of it is old..how are things there now? Housing? Amenities? Prices for golf? HOA dues?

as far as the MLS goes, there's very little activity - whether you compare it to other areas or not. As far as I've heard, there is no "daily fee option" - you're either a member of the club or not.

However, I also admit that I haven't been through there recently, even though I rode right by it twice with clients 2 weeks ago.

I agree with Bo, that there is not much MLS activity, with only one closing a month showing over the last 6 months.
And Wake County Revenue Department tends to support that supposition:
Subject Area Improved Sales - 0347591

(Toll is offering inducements to agents who deliver business. 3% + $2000 bonus for 2nd sale and $3000 bonus for 3rd or subsequent sales. If you are relocating, and using a relocation company that is taking 35%--40% of the agent's commission, Toll will reimburse that amount to the agent also. And they will offer to pony up 50% of commission in advance.)

Figure on $200/month HOA dues, but the neighborhood amenities are VERY nice. Pool, tennis, clubhouse, trails are all lovely.

I don't know the golf membership fees, but they will be dee-lighted to tell you:
Hasentree Country Club: Membership - Hasentree

I live near there, and can verify that there seems to be very little going on.

We were considering that area last year but opted for a location in north Raleigh. Others have commented on the amount of sales activity but the amenities were very nice. They seem to have a good amount of programs for children (if you have any) ranging from tennis and swim lessons to babysitting. There was stuff for adults like yoga, wine taste etc... if I remember correctly.

Overall it seemed to be a nice subdivision but I didn't like that I would have to drive 12+ minutes to get to the nearest grocery store, restaurant etc...

Good luck in your search

I've played the course and it's outstanding Not a daily fee place...you must be a member or be invited by a member. If the latter then it's ~ $90/round. Excellent practice facility and clubhouse. Used to be around $10k to join plus the monthly; you do not have to be a resident to be a member.. An acquaintance joined last year and you can take 3 years to pay the initiation fee.

I think that's a bit of a stretch. The new Harris Teeter at Hwy98 and Old Creedmoor is 5.3 miles/6 min. (according to Google maps) away. The Food Lion at Hwy98 and Capital is 3.8 miles/6 min. Target is across the street along with Home Depot.

I know two people that are building there right now. Toll Brothers is doing very well and they have a large number of homes under construction and/or waiting to start. Both of these people commented that due to the volume of work going on in Hasentree, it is taking longer than expected for home completion.
