I have a nail salon question. Last time we were there my daughters and I went to a nail salo near the Heritage subdivision. We honestly got the worst manicures ever. It wag really bad. I get my nails done with gel manicures here and nails are crazy business here with some salons open till midnight!!! If you get your nails done could you share what town you are in and salon? This may sound petty, but I'd like to find a good nail salon there.

Cary... and I only get gel done at higher-end spas like La Therapie or the Spa at Umstead.

I do go to the cheaper places occasionally for a pedicure, my favorite one of those at the moment is Platinum Nail Spa in Morrisville at Park West Village.

I adore Tre Nails in Waverly Place in Cary (near Whole Foods). It's the only salon I've been to since they've opened. No desire to try anyplace else.

You meaning gel as in "shellac" polish?

It's 25 to apply and 25 to remove here at the places I visit. Doesn't include the manicure itself...

Doesn't include the manicure ?! Are you serious!? Here it's only 7 to remove if you aren't reapplying gel, if you are it's still just 25 for everything.

I don't do cheap. You could probably get it done cheaper at another salon, but shellac dries out the nails, so I don't play when it comes to that stuff.

Let me doublecheck the price... hold up... I don't pay that much attention to how much it costs because I don't keep polish on my nails all the time.

I have heard people move from NY/NJ and gripe about how cheap it is there compared to here, so you are probably not gonna be thrilled with the prices, but they're not exorbitant, so no worries.

Okay... a shellac manicure at my regular place is 38 bucks... takes 45 minutes... I wish they had the price to remove on there because I think I was wrong earlier and it's cheaper, but I know it's more than 7 bucks.

Maybe it's like 15 or something? I just wish I could recall...
