Not trying to make any excuses here, but something was mentioned to me by my Mother that had not occurred to me, because it's been part of our lives for so long I guess. My son has ADHD with problems with impulsivity. Blurting things out is not always something he can control. He has an IEP in place and I have requested a meeting to have this suspension revoked.

I'm pretty sure you are an exception! The children I am referring to live in poverty and don't have phones or iPods and live with 6 other kids and one parent in a two bedroom apartment.
But yes, I agree with you about the ADHD as the root of the problem, and I feel for ya---I also have ADD-B which is ADD with Blurting; however, I don't think that will be considered as an excuse to get out of suspension. IMHO they will feel MORE justified in finding a way to teach him to curb his impulses.
