Yeah, I'm not sure. I looked on UMall's website and they still list it, but I didn't see it on NC Hammock's website, so who knows.

maybe not poppydog, but the sunlight will eventually do it in...sooner than later too.

I don't have much of that, either. We have a super shady yard. I've had hammocks for many, many years and used to always prefer the cotton rope because it's softer, but I'll never go back to it now. It mildews so quickly and holds water if it gets wet and stays sopping for way longer. I'm really happy with the synthetic.

Should have been more clear -- "fast" was "within 18 months."

It was painted and the paint peeled fast and from there, that's all she wrote.

They were nice people and I am in the market for a hammock, too -- might consider trying them for that.

They had some of this type at Bed Bath and Beyond today. They are more comfortable than the rope, IMO. Pawleys Island Large Polyester Quilted Hammock - Natural - Bed Bath & Beyond
They looked like pretty decent quality.

The power of the interwebs....found this listing on the Artsplosure site. I think I only remembered one hammock maker and they did look like this I think!

Twin Oaks Hammocks

They also have a list of craft fairs that they attend and they are planning on returning to the area for Cary Lazy Daze in August (8/25) or else head to a lot of craft fairs in Virginia (where they are based).
