Default travel times

From Apex to UNC is about 30 mins...Duke about 45 mins...I'm using Downtown Apex as a starting point...Morrisville is about 5-10 mins nearer than Apex

Hope this helps

I just bought in the twin lakes area in Cary/Moorsville ... would that be near your starting point? I am a nurse trying to find out which hospital would be a good choice. I understand there is a wake med in Cary also. I am assuming that would be the closest by far. thank you kindly for your quick reply.

Hi there:

okay, from twin lakes, you are probably looking at equal distance, unc being a little farther. From twin lakes to UNC you could go 54 the entire way, or 54 to 40 back to 54. It is about 17 miles.

To Duke, you would go 54 to 40 to 147 (also known as the durham freeway). IT is about 15 miles - although the traffic to duke may be less bumper to bumper than the traffic to UNC

I don't know if the Wake Med Cary would be that much faster.....it is 12 miles from you, but you would be going through more traffic.

Rex is probably the longest distance because it is on blue ridge road in raleigh.

Anyhow, I hope this helps a little!

Leigh
