I did the very same thing recently, KFran, and I LOVE it! Got the Leaf and a Roku...freedom from cable TV! I don't miss a single thing about cable TV.

Except your are not getting current run HBO or Showtime, right? That's the main reason I keep the TV service.

PS - CBS came back on just a few hours after I posted this. Of course, SHO etc. is still out of service. . .

That's the main reason for me too. I don't want to wait a year for netflix and no way can I avoid all spoilers (though I managed to do it for the entire Harry Potter series).

I'd actually lost CBS way before this and it has returned. Was it yours?

KFran and Sweetelf, which Leaf version did you get? Is your TV HDTV or old tube type? I want to drop my Dish and get a Leaf, but I don't know if the cheaper one is good enough or not (my LR TV is tube type).
