I dont have kids so I am just asking.

You can't breast feed before and after services? Its not like you don't know when service is being held. I just think a little planning would go a long way if attending the service in person is that important to you.

I was going to post that I worship "boobs" in my house all the time. OP can DM me for service times.

When you have a small baby you have to feed them on demand. You really can't get them on a schedule till they are older. Breast milk is so easily digested that it goes through their system much faster....babies that are exclusively bf will eat much more often when they are tiny. So no - you really can't schedule it. Please account from time for everyone to get ready for church, travel to church, travel home etc etc. It's not just the time in the church. I know people who don't have kids think it "can't be that hard!" - it is. I remember the first time we left the house with our infant twins - every time one was ready the other would poop/spit up/whatever - we finally said the hell with it, if we don't go we never will!

HTH.

You and your nursling are always welcome at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh. And I'd be willing to bet at Pullen Memorial Baptist as well.

I grew up in a home where there were no words at all for certain body parts and was married to a man who found breastfeeding absolutely mortifying. I much prefer the company of people who can call a boob a boob and not be too uptight about it.

I know a nursing mom who uses a shawl to cover herself and baby while they are nursing in public. You can't even see the baby (or bare skin).
