They stayed in one place. They had pretty much built a nest there. I found out they were there because they scratched a small hole in the drywall that was about the size of a dime, and my cat started jumping for it (it was in a back closet of a guest room I rarely entered so I never would have noticed if the cat wasn't so interested). Since they were nesting I don't think they'd have left without being removed.

Curious... How they were removed?

Keep in mind that it was a friend not a professional. He had a Havahart live trap around and he set it up then cut a hole in the drywall that was smaller than the entrance to the trap and put the trap flush against the hole. The squirrels had nowhere to go but into the trap. It took a day or two to get them all.

Here's a link for a Havahart trp if you don't know what they look like: Cage Trap Quick Guide

It could be Outsourcing.

In order to cut back on high fuel costs Santa outsource his elves to do their work inside the walls of your home.

The Orkin guy came and heard the noice. He went to the attic and found tunnels in the insulation and mice droppings. Not sure how many (mice not droppings!!!!). :-o
He placed glue raps all over!!! He thinks that may be one fell inside the wall and is trying to get out. Hopefully the beacon attracts them to the traps. He said that the smell of beacon makes them crazy!

Now I'm hearing things waking in the attic!!!!!!!

I really hopes that it stick to the trap and don't die inside the wall!!!!!!!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!
