Any Non-Smoking Condo Buildings in Raleigh? (apartment, rental, condos)

I am looking for new housing for my parents and NEED for them to get out of their single family digs. Unfortunately, every option I present doesn't satisfy their needs. What they really need is a one floor condo but they insist on not having adjacent smoking neighbors. Does anyone know if a non-smoking building exists in the market with one floor condos, garage parking and elevator access?

a private person can do whatever they want in the privacy of their home/condo. Still, I don't know how a neighbor smoking inside their home would bother your parents safely ensconced in their own home. It would likely be illegal to smoke in the hallways of a condo building these days.

Some rental APARTMENT buildings may very well have areas that are non-smoking, and thus you could find a non-smoking building. But they most likely won't have elevators and garages.

Well, as a non-smoker and condo dweller myself, I can tell you that it does sometimes matter if someone smokes adjacent to you.
Smoke does in fact sometimes make its way into public corridors from individual units that open onto a common indoor corridor. It's also an issue with stacked terraces/decks from both a wafting smoke perspective and cigarettes being dropped onto one's terrace (both of which I experience). While this is a bothersome issue for me, it's life threatening for my parents.

It sounds like it to me that there is not a standard condo option for my aging parents. Unfortunately, the more expensive senior living options that may give them what they need are not affordable for them.

I'll investigate the apartment option though I am sure it's going to be a tough sell.

One about a one-level townhouse? I used to live in one and can't imagine that if my neighbors had smoked, I would have ever known it.

That might be an option if the outdoor patios and decks are significantly separated and no exterior maintenance is required.
