Hello, as you may know we will be relocating there at the end of the month. I am exhausted from packing and planning. I need some positive energy. So, tell me what you love about where you live. TIA! Have a great weekend everyone.

The area is overall aesthetically pleasing. I know this sounds odd but I LOVE the trees, greenery, and fresh air.

Yes when we came to visit Raleigh from Tampa FL, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful fall colors. We don't have that here. I will enjoy having seasons again!

I grew up in the Tampa Bay area.

The Triangle has better food options (except Cuban) grocery and restaurants. Oodles of fantastic ethnic grocery stores too. Food costs are higher though.

I love the varied terrain and more pronounced seasons.

As a child the TBA still felt Southern. That is no longer the case. I appreciate the graciousness I find in the Triangle! It feels like home to me.

Education levels are higher here. Lots of cultural opportunities. The population has a nice level of diversity - ethnic, racial and age-wise.

I don't have to drive 5 hours to be another state!

Really the only things I miss about Fl. are the array of water birds, Gulf coast beaches and Cuban food. Oh - and Ted Peters smoked mullet!

as a Southern person and Triangle native, we have enough of all 4 seasons for me ... in other words, it gets cold and there's a season, but we don't have a bad winter.

there's enough variation in the topography and vegetation to stay satisfied. A

All sounds very good to me. I am looking forward to seasonal allergies again as opposed to year round constant allergies.
