Spotcrime is good for recent events, but doesn't help as much for historical stuff if you are looking for a place to move to. Durham has a map at http://www.durhampolice.com/crimemapper.cfm which goes back a few years. Chapel Hill has one at http://www.nccrime.us (http://www.nccrime.us/ - broken link)which shows neighborhood comparisons and maps with crime back before 2005 or something. Raleigh has one, but don't remember how far it goes back.

Don't hesistate, call Child Protective Services (CPS). If you suspect that a child is being abused, alert authorities and put a stop to it! It's senseless!
I have a question my son is being abuse by his dad and step mom I took him to cps here in Raleigh he has marks his dad hit him with sterio cable kick and punch him they told me to take him back to his home, so I did cps when to the house yesterday around 7:35 they left around 11pm they send my son to see a doctor because they say that he has mental issues,, of course he got problems because all the abuse he been going true I don't understand why they left them there he was texting me to please help him and get him out of there, his sister when tru this situation to she call cps many times and she was never removed from her home so she got pregnet and left the house at 17 I don't want nothing to happen to my son I have to go see the lawyer on Thursday but my son has not call me I'm heart broken right now don't know what else to do can some one tell me something.
