Happy Earth Day to all!

I'm always looking for shredding/recycling events around this time so I thought I'd do a quick round-up for the C-D family. Looks like April 26 is going to be the big day around the area with a few other events scheduled into May. Feel free to add on if you hear of others. Usually Cary does something but I didn't see anything. There is usually another big shredding/recycling event in November.

Raleigh
April 26 – 8 am - noon
Oak Park Shopping Center
6001 Glenwood Ave
Up to 3 boxes/bags of paper per person
Small businesses, nonprofits, churches and individuals welcome to participate

May 3, 10 am - noon
St. John's Baptist Church
1615 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC
Information about avoiding Identity Theft and Scams will be available.

May 17 – 8 am – 12:30 pm (2 locations)
“Secure Your ID” Day
- Lafayette Village (8480 Honeycutt Road)
- Coastal Federal Credit Union (1000 St. Albans Dr)

It will include document shredding, collection of computers, hard- drives & electronics for secure recycling.

Orange County (has quarterly shredding events)
April 24 – 10 am – 2 pm
University Mall, Estes Drive
Please note that there is limit of 5 boxes per person at this event.

April 26 – 10 am – 2 pm
Hampton Pointe Recycling drop-off site, 625 Hampton Pointe Blvd., Hillsborough (behind Home Depot)
Please note that there is a limit of 5 boxes per person for this event.

Durham County
April 26 – 8 am – 2 pm
Keep Durham Beautiful E-waste & Shredding Event
Durham County Memorial Stadium
750 Stadium Dr
Shredding and recycling of all electronics with a cord
Durham E-Waste Recycling & Shredding Event April 26

May 3 – 9 am – 1 pm
DURHAM SHRED-A-THON
Duke University Federal Credit Union

Garner
April 26 – 10 am – 4 pm
Technology Spring Clean – sponsored by WingSwept
605 Poole Rd, Garner
Computers/CPUs, UPS, printers, monitors, copiers, keyboards, mice, circuit boards, mainframes, hard drives and phone systems are accepted for drop-off. All hard drives are removed from the computers and securely shredded prior to recycling.
