Took me a while but I found this ...
Kevin Bryant, of Raleigh, plays his drum kit along the side of the I-540 Outer Loop at the Lumley Road exit on Feb. 24, 2014. Bryant chose this spot to play his drums because he received several complaints from neighbors and decided that along the interstate was a good enough place as any due to the high volume of traffic noise. A few N.C. State Highway Patrol troopers have approached Bryant, who were just checking on him for safety concerns, but stated that he was not breaking any laws and actually hung around to hear him play.

There's a band —*I have no idea who —*that practices at the mini storage at New Hope Commons at I-40/15-501 in Durham. I have heard them several times in the evening when we've been over there.

Cool. Rock on Kevin!

Last time I was on 540 I saw a pedestrian getting arrested by HP. I'm guessing he had a warrant, or maybe he was the drummer for Warrant?

I've known a couple of bands that rented storage units to practice in. I don't think it's all that unusual around here.

As a working drummer for the past 45 years, I find myself wondering why the so much of the response on this thread has been to make fun of this kid.

Nobody was making fun of anyone. We were having fun with words (puns).

Nor harm meant, just a little Tom (tom) foolery, if you will.

So you rehash a 7 month old thread to defend someone who wasn't being attacked? Is this your first time internetting? And yes, I am making fun of you, but not the drummer, he's cool as hell (which basically everyone in this thread has said).
