I would suggest stopping by Woof Gang Bakery in Cary and tell them you want to talk to Danielle. She is a great groomer and always does what I ask on my Pekingese/Poodle mix. He looks like a teddy bear walking out of there and every hair is just perfect. I think she is very good at what she does and I will only make appointments with her.

I'm actually not surprised that PetSmart does a good job grooming, since they work "right out in the open" (behind glass) where customers can see, so if they did a bad job, it could affect their retail business as well, and thus they are more accountable.

As for collie-specific places, just a though, you might look up a Collie Rescue place to find people who know collies (and likely have their own) and see what they say.
