My 3rd grader came home with a letter from school today, informing us of some Parent Information Sessions on SSA. We may consider it for math. Any experiences, good or bad, with doing this?

It's my understanding she'd basically skip 4th grade math and go to 5th next year. I'm not really certain of the ramifications of doing so, particularly once she is in 5th grade - do they offer 6th grade math classes on site?

Thanks for any info/input.

you need to ask your specific school. my daughter is a rising 8th grader and she did SSA in 4th grade. In 5th grade, they had the AG teacher teach 6th grade math but I know that many other children take their class online. Same for 8th grade, it depends on the school, how many other kids are taking it and their resources.
