I would like to find out how much an employee pays on premium for Health Insurance through an employer for full family (Member + Spouse + Child/ren) coverage.
I understand the rates will vary based on your specific plan selection; however, I am not really looking for much details. I just want to know how much regardless of the specifics of the plan.
I am paying approximately 800 per quarter for full family coverage here in NYC; however, I expect that this amount would most likely double or triple in Raleigh.
Full family coverage (medical only) through my employer is $232/month, assuming that only one parent has access to employer-based coverage. If there is a working spouse with access to coverage, the premium increases to $332/month.
At my previous employer, standard full family coverage (medical+vision) is $288/month this year. A premium plan with lower deductibles/co-pays is available for $473/month, and a high-deductible/HSA plan is available for $274/month. For that last plan, the employer contributes $1,000/year to the HSA. The spousal surcharge is $40/month for this employer.
FWIW, both of these companies are known for having fairly generous benefits packages.

What are your co-pays, deductables, max out of pocket liability, prescription coverage, etc ? How much does your employer kick in? Does that include dental and vision? There are still a lot of variables that affect the premium you pay, to make comparisons difficult.
I get paid every two weeks, but it works out to just over $1300 per quarter for family medical coverage (dental and vision are separate).
Just to throw out some contrast...if I needed a family plan it would be close to $1,000 per month - as a single person I pay $320/month. Yeah. It's AWFUL. That's medical only. I considered going with the ACA but am just trying to find a new job (not just for that reason).
I suspect lb27608 and I work at the same place, as my payment is the same ($232/month). My previous job, located in Durham, was nearly $1000/month for family coverage.

We must all be coworkers, because mine is right around that.
LOL.
Not including vision and dental. Add those in (along with life/disability) and it's closer to 400.

$231.28 here, + my contributions to HSA and life/dental/etc. Based on your previous comments I know I work where your husband does
