That's impressive. I always thought Heritage was laid out better than Wakefield.

You do realize that this poll just means that Heritage has a lot of net sales of new homes, right? It doesn't mean it's any better than other planned communities that are already built out or that are much smaller? If you look at the link, it lists planned communities with the most sales in order, with The Villages, that huge retirement community in central Florida being first.

I'm not trying to take away from Heritage - I've never been there, and I'm sure it's a very nice community - but I like to investigate these lists with more scrutiny to see what they really mean. And by the headline, it seems like top means best and it sounds like it's in competition with all master-planned communities all around the country old and new, when, in fact, only those that still have new sales would be considered, and the larger you are, the more likely you are to be on the list.

Wife and I have been to triangle area since 2009. We have been looking at the whole area but keep coming back to Hertiage. I guess when you know what you are looking for ans find it. Then nothing left to do but relocated.

Ahhhh. That's interesting. Heritage is quite huge, though. The Villages, on the other hand, is massive. My inlaws live there half the year. Snowbirds.

I'm always dubious of "best" lists.
