Means a lot to us, especially the Vietnam Vets that were encouraged to run through airports on the way home, and get into civilian clothes ASAP. Been there, done it.

For me, I'll be ignoring the noisy display set up (for Saturday's parade at 9:30) at the Capitol by the same dude that complained about the word "Freedom" in the naming of Cary's new memorial to Veterans, on Harrison.

Readers, thanks in advance for your support.

It would be nice if we helped the homeless veterans. We have already started to explain to our five year old son what veterans have done for us. My husband is from UK and our son is named after grandfather that was in the war. We have his medals and pics that we show our son. We took him to DC to see the veterans wall. He couldn't believe all of the names on the wall.We will look for some ways to help veterans locally.

I see signs all the time "homeless vet" but I don't know whether to believe them. I'd rather donate to an organization that is really doing something to help out vets. If you find any good organizations I would certainly like to hear about them.
