Will be moving to Holly Springs in a month. Currently have Verizon but am wanting to switch to T-Mobile or AT&T. Anyone have T-Mobile/AT&T in the Raleigh area? What has your experience been like? Per the coverage maps on-line, should be OK with either. Will live in Holly Springs ad commute to Sanford, NC for work each day. Thanks in advance for your comments.

I have T-mobile. I have great coverage to and from work (Cary to Durham) but not in the building I work in. I have taken Route 1 from Cary towards Sanford and for a length of it, I have no service. Not sure if that picks back up after the 540 toll exit or not as I haven't ventured further. I also have zero service in my step-kids subdivision which is in Holly.

You might want to just figure it out when you move here. Drive your commute and see.

Things have juuuuust started to get better around the metro edge. Used to drop to 2G/EDGE from W. Durham through Hillsborough to near Burlington. As of last weekend, stayed LTE on I-85 all the way to Charlotte except about 5 minutes.

Many sites getting upgraded in the state, including major highway corridors.

It's terrible in most of N. Wake County and down on the coast where I go several times a month. Look at their coverage map compared to Verizon. I had T-Mobile in Florida and Chicago and was really disappointed that it's so limited in this area. I'll switch back to them when their coverage increases.

Coverage on Capital between 440 and 540 is pretty spotty for some reason. Besides that it has worked for me.

From my brief experience, TMO has no reception inside grocery stores.

Don't know about TMO coverage in the Outer Banks, ATT & VZ are good in Cape Hatteras but not Sprint.

ATT's LTE network is actually decent in the area followed by VZ.

You'll regret it. Verizon is the best. Lately they've been having some decent deals.

We switched from Verizon to T-Mobile about four months ago. Neither has provided better or worse services in the Triangle. I'm betting that IF we took a road trip, Verizon would be better. On the other hand, T-Mobile gave us free international text service for our recent trip to south America.

T-Mobile offered many more non contract programs. Verizon had cheaper programs for high usage data users (not us). YMMV.

I live in Apex right on the edge of Holly Springs (near 540). I used to have AT&T and for a number or reasons had to switch to Verizon. The AT&T service was MUCH better at my house. I've regretted the switch ever since.
