My husband and I are moving to Wake Forest, NC.

We just sold our house in FL and want to fly up to find a townhouse to rent for one year until we settle on what area of Wake Forest to purchase a house next year.

Can anyone suggest agencies, websites, etc. to aid in our search?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Checking Realtor.com there are a limited number of TH's for rent in Wake Forest. They are all in Shearon Farms, and most are advertised by Chanticleer Properties. You might want to expand your search criteria. For example, many single family homes in Wake Forest are in the same price range as townhouses.

Craigslist also has ads for more upscale properties in Heritage Wake Forest, eg one at $1675. Hotpads.com is also pretty good, but it may be out of date. You may have to deal with several agencies and individuals, as I don't believe there is a single best source for rentals.

When we moved here, the apartment complex we rented from was recommended from our new employer. If you're moving here with a new job, check with them for a referral.

Lots of scams on hotpads and Craigslist. Realtor.com will be a good source of legitimate rentals. Never send money to anyone for any reason.

Thanks for the info.
Are there agencies in wake forest to help locate townhomes in the area? We're flying up in two weeks and I'd love to have appts scheduled rather than going hit or miss. Thanks.
