Right across from the two LabCorp buildings at 1900 TW Alexander Dr in RTP, there is some serious land clearing going on. What was a forest 2 weeks ago is now treeless and open. Anyone know how to find out what's supposed to be going there? I checked on the Triangle Business Journal and RTP.org but haven't found anything..they started about 2 weeks ago.
The one across from LabCorp is Liberty Ridge warehouse park.
Across from IBM is Bayer CropScience, and they're doing an expansion project there with a new greenhouse and other facilities.
Right on, thanks for the info. I actually saw that first article about Liberty upon my search yesterday, but didn't realize that's the location it meant. Boring white concrete looking building! Right down the road from the boring white concrete looking Centerpoint distribution center they're finishing up. I meant to look today on my way home from work for the one across from IBM..pretty sure I've noticed all the trucks and the dirty road though.
Is there no way for NCDOT to widen 147? This 2 lane nonsense is madness. I absolutely hate driving on it...it's almost always crawling along at 3mph at exit 7 (Alexander).
Has anyone noticed how dangerous it is when the exit ramp for Hwy 98 gets backed up on Hwy 70? I'm talking about heading southeast towards Raleigh from I-85, sometimes the ramp gets backed up when the light down below is red and you have cars backing into the right lane of 70. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I had to drive off the road into the grass so I wouldn't sit still on 70.
If I understand correctly, the Hwy 98 exit off of 70 is being reworked as part of this project. So, hopefully things improve there.
