Looks like my retired parents will be moving here sooner than they expected. I am in need of some recommendations for apartments in the Wake Forest area for them.

They are looking for around a 6 month rental. Amenities are not important as this is just temporary until they find a house.

I'm familiar with Caveness Farms, as that's where we first lived when we came here, but I don't know of any other places in the area to suggest to them.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you~

I would avoid the Caveness Farms apartments and other new complex on Ligon Mill Rd due to the traffic volume and danger at US 1 and Caveness Farms Avenue (personal preference, I would not want to see my parents living there). There are several communities in Wakefield (technically a Raleigh address, but just over the town limit of Wake Forest). I know there is an apartment complex in Heritage called Bexley. The traffic around it is also high due to the Heritage schools and there will be some road closures on Forestville and Rogers Roads in the coming year for bridge replacements.

I believe there is an apartment community in Wakefield on Old Falls Of Neuse Rd. I'll get the name when I drive by later today.

Bexley always looks like it would be nice.

Bexley is nice, but if you're on the third floor, that's a lot of going up and down the stairs for everything. I say that because I helped someone move in to the third floor and thought I was going to pass out. And replacing the bridge there is going to be a traffic nightmare, you're right.

I just drove up into Caveness and saw the other complex that goes out onto Ligon. I had no idea that was even there now.

I'll check Wakefield Glen--that's one that I didn't think of.

Thanks, guys!
