Hi everyone,
The wife and I are possibly considering relocating in a year or so. One of the places up for discussion is NC, probably Charlotte area or RDC area. Can someone let me know if a preferred website and towns that a possible rental at Thanksgiving could be found?

We're thinking MAYBE renting something then, inviting our families and doing a little driving around and seeing whats around.

Thanks!

vrbo may work, i looked at that, but without knowing the area was a bit lost. If we do this, I'd like to find a place that is somewhat central to be able to look at different areas and was a nice place to spend a holiday.

Cary and Morrisville are pretty centrally located within the Triangle. Southern Durham would be as well.

Since this isn't a huge tourism area, there might not be many private homes available. However, there are a number of hotels with suites and kitchenettes. You might be able to rent a couple of them together.

I'd recommend finding a realtor willing to show you around.

Very few realtors handle rentals, especially short term rentals, if thats what you're asking about. I think Kimeri was suggesting a realtor to show you the area in anticipation of your eventual relocation and purchase of a home.

Vrbo, home a way, and airbnb.

I'd agree that Cary and Morrisville are central, as well as certain areas of Raleigh and very south Durham. Brier Creek is dead center for the area and I know there are several listings on Vrbo, so I would suggest starting with those (search 'brier creek, NC')

If you find someplace appealing that is available, check back with us with the address.
