Any seafood restaurants in north raleigh/brier creek area or close enough?
Looking for fried seafood preferable.

Some of the seafood places we have been:
- NC Seafood Market at the Farmers Market - a bit far
- Kemps seafood on HW70 - now closed
- 42nd oyster bar - a bit far
- Mayflower - bit far
- Captain Ds - fast food
- Red Lobster - don't really like chains

Any suggestions appreciated.

Not too much in North Raleigh other than Bonefish Grill

Bonefish Grill - North Hills
Saltbox Seafood Joint - Durham
Skippers Fish Fry - Apex
Full Moon Oyster Bar - Morrisville

Skippers Fish Fry is very good and if you have a serious seafood craving, it's worth the drive. Also heard very good things about Saltbox in Durham (probably closer to you than Skippers)

We sure do miss Kemp's. It was our favorite Sunday dinner spot. Sometimes you can't beat a good plate of fried seafood.

Your best bet for Seafood in North Raleigh is to drive just a little further north to Wake Forest and visit Shucker's Oyster Bar.

They are good, but have a limited selection if you want something that is not fried. Jack's in Raleigh (New Bern Ave) is another good place for fried seafood. A bit far for the OP, but Anet's Ketch in Knightdale is excellent and will cook it grilled, etc.

Here is a google search that might help:

Seems like I've heard good things about J&J for "hole in the wall, good chicken and fish".

+1 on Jacks in DT Raleigh...
