What type of company would I call to inspect my crawlspace a couple times a year? I'm not looking for anything specific, I just want someone to go in there and crawl around to make sure everything is on the up and up - look for leaks, pests, families of 12 foot pythons, etc. I refuse to go more than 5 feet inside.

Do home inspectors do this type of thing? They're probably too busy...

I used crawlspace techs for years (until I moved to a slab home) - I believe they actually started as a company doing inspections.

Crawlspace Tech, Inc.
Thanks - my only concern is since they provide crawlspace services, they may try and sell something I don't need?

Do you have a termite bond? My termite guy always tells me if he finds any crawlspace problems.

No but I probably should. That'd be great if I could kill two birds with one stone.

I use these guys. They also do home inspections, so you could also ask them to do a more formal crawl space inspection if you want.

Yep. My termite guy always let me know how things were looking under the house...other than termites. I always gave him some cash just to show how much I appreciated it too.

Good thread as I'm always paranoid something's going on with my crawlspace. I agree I have zero interest in going a foot inside it.

I have a termite bond but haven't come around to the annual inspection yet. Guess I will see if I get lucky there.

There is a really good Youtube channel that covers everything you could dream of (and more) about your crawl space.

They did install humidity control for me (at a much lower cost than the normal pest control company!), and they did yearly inspections after that. I found them to be very honest, but they did do some work for me at the start.
