They don't get very good reviews. I've seen a lot of complaints about them, however they seem to dominate the single family rental house market in the Triangle. Fortunately, I've been able to secure a place from a reputable and local real estate agency that doesn't seem to be trying to milk you for everything you have with lots of micro fees. There are 2 or three other players in the market that have a majority of the remainder.
Can there be a "monopoly like" housing industry? It almost seems unethical. This locks up a lot of inventory too. What is your take?
It's not a monopoly.
I've never heard of them, and I know plenty of busy property managers with huge portfolios.
