Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that Suburban Propane showed up today to delivery my propane for the winter. I know they have to come before Winter but normally they come in the late Fall.

Also, I'm curious what the going price is locally for residential propane per gallon. We were billed $3.54/gallon.

That is why you do a pre-buy sometime before the end of June. If they have you under contract they will charge you less. $3.54 is a lot.

That is weird. Do you have them supply your propane for your grill or anything else?
Now you are going to have me on the lookout for them trying to sneak up here and fill mine!

Hi - no, just for the fireplace. Last year they came in November which some may argue is too late but August seems odd. Loved coming home to a $300 bill on my doorstep for heat I don't need for 4 months for a price over 50% higher than last year. Yeah.

You can control the delivery options. "Autofill" allows them to sorta come as they want. "Will call" only allows them to deliver propane when you call. Propane in August should be cheap as demand is low.
Suburban mistakenly automatically delivered gas to my sister once when she was on "Will call". She phoned them and received a pretty good discount. So check what delivery option you're on.

And I bet it drops.....and has been dropping. Cheapest its been in.....? Since I have been in NH.....10 years.
