Besides city-data of course

I'm just looking to read up about things happening in Wake and Johnston counties once in a while. I read newsobserver.com but it's a little slow to load sometimes, and I like reading the same topic from multiple sources.

I read WRAL.com because I don't have a subscription to the N&O.

Triangle Business Journal scoops a lot of other sources for business news.

I use WRAL website. We get Sunday only N&O.

I always enjoyed WRAL and also liked reading their comment section online. I enjoy reading/hearing multiple sides on issues. I never want to get my information/news from a one sided source.

WRAL and Triangle Business Journal are good for staying on top of local and business news. Honestly I find that I usually hear about the important stuff / developing stories first on twitter by the people I follow (lots of reporters use twitter) and usually follow up later for details on the news web sites.

WRAL is useless for Johnston County. Since that's where I am, I use News : Johnston County Report most.

For Wake County and national news, I use abc11. Their articles almost always contain more information and are better written.

I do use WRAL for certain calendars, like their Halloween event or Firework display listings.

Oh geeze. The WRAL comment section is full of some of the worst armchair internet dictators I've ever seen.

I could have written this I get mine from the same sources. I do find that my Twitter feed gives me the most current. I follow MSNBC, TBJ, BBCWorld, WRAL, etc.. I was following the N&O but their website is wacky - hate it! links are slow as they block the article and redirect you if you elect not to subscribe or login as a subscriber.
