I've lived in Raleigh for under 2 years. I have yet to meet a Duke fan. Most of the people, excluding college students, that I have encountered are UNC fans.

I remain loyal to Virginia Tech despite my relocation out of Virginia!

So it's mostly UNC fans in Raleigh w/ some Wolf Pack fans?

From a Hokie!

FWIW, I run into tons of NC State Fans. I know some UNC fans too, but more State Fans. I know a few Duke fans but not that many.

My brother went to Va. Tech, so I know all about Bleaksburg. Sorry for all those thumpings by Duke during basketball season (avoiding any and all discussion of Duke Football!)

My happiest day last year ~ January 6, 2007.

Virginia Tech 69 - Duke 67
ESPN - Virginia Tech vs. Duke Recap, January 06, 2007

Duke had our number last week though!

There is always next year!

I would bet there are mostly State fans in Raleigh, because I know in Durham there are a lot of people who grew up as Duke fans even though they didn't go to Duke.

In Southwest Durham I see mostly Duke & Carolina fans. A sprinking of NCSU fans. But I did run into an Oregon Duck fan at Moe's near Southpoint. Go Ducks!!
