I take it you're looking for more than JoAnn or Hancock fabric has?

Mary Jo's in Gastonia. Best fabric and notions in the state, hands down. It's kind in the 'middle of no where' and I can't say I'd visit the area if it weren't for Mary Jo's being there but it's totally worth it for the selection. They'll also order anything you need. I make the journey about once a year (not because of the distance, but it's all I can afford given that I always buy too much when I'm there!) and make do with Jo-Ann's grudgingly all other times.

Here's a link: Mary Jo's Cloth Store - Gastonia, NC

Awesome, thank you for this suggestion. I find local main stream stores don't have a good selection. I'll be sure to put this on my list of places to visit in the coming months.

PS: I recently went to the Offray/Berwick factory outlet in Haggerstown Maryland and it was AMAZING!! I wish we had something like that closer.
