I have recently moved to the Brier Creek area with only my 4 year old daughter. I work from home but there are times when I need to get some things done and would LOVE to be able to have a good baby sitting service that I'd be able to simply schedule whenever I need it, even at list minute. Can any one please give me any suggestions/recommendations on where to start looking. What good ones do you use and don't hesitate to share experiences and recommend names of who to ask for. Thank you so much in advance.

Have you tried care.com? Know a few people who have used it and also know a few (mostly teachers) who work for it.

I'm now on Care.com and SitterCity.

I see where I can request certain babysitters if they're available. Does anyone normally ask for any certain ones? My daughter is very active and loves to get out and play so I want to make sure I'm getting someone who can do that with her and not just hang out in the apartment. I'm excited to try them out but nervous too since I've never left her with anyone except family. Back home my mom lived 4 doors down (super convenient) and I could drop her off whenever I needed to. I'm glad I took advantage of that when I could cause now I miss it.

We've used Simply Sitting a couple of times and were happy with them. I've also heard good things about Trio.
