I've been buying Chinese made cashmere sweaters from Jos A. Banks but it seems like they only last a year before they develop holes. I guess you get what you pay for. I have several sweaters and rotate them so none get too much use. I'd like to find another place locally to buy men's cashmere sweaters, some place that might have some that last longer. Any suggestions?

A while back (5-6 years ago) I got two at Banana Republic as a part of a BOGO deal. I still wear them.

Does Nordstrom still allow you to return anything, any time or is it just 90 days now? From an article I found online:

Quote:
Like REI once did, Nordstrom, which has 247 department stores in 33 states, will accept any item back from any of its stores for any reason, regardless of when it was purchased.
“If the quality isn’t there, if the garment is falling apart, whatever it is, we’ll take it back,” says spokeswoman Brooke White. “What we’re trying to do is stand behind our merchandise.”

From Nordstrom's website:

What is your return policy?
We don't actually have a return policy for purchases made at Nordstrom stores or at Nordstrom.com. We handle returns on a case-by-case basis with the ultimate objective of satisfying the customer. We stand behind our goods and services and want customers to be satisfied with them. We'll always do our best to take care of customers—our philosophy is to deal with them fairly and reasonably; we hope they will be fair and reasonable with us as well.

I like that policy as stated.

I bought my daughter some leggings at Costco a year ago (she picked them out). Tonight, I see they have developed a small hole in them. Costco says if I keep the receipt, I can return them buggers, but the reality is she's worn them hard as a middle schooler and guess what, some clothes wear out. Why should I even be the kind of person that THINKS I should/could return them?

I'll second Banana Republic. Have a a couple or three sweaters from them and they have lasted a couple years so far with no issues. They have a nice cut to them. I also bought a few T shirts there and really like the fit and the feel of them.
