Hello Everyone!
I am new to the Raleigh area and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good primary care doctor in the Raleigh area. I would prefer someone in the North Raleigh area but anywhere will do.

Thanks!

i use duke physicians in wake forest (right off US 1 so pretty convenient to n. raleigh, depending on where you live)

theyve treated me for a dog bite and pretty bad kidney infection. i dont go for colds/ flu etc since i think its pointless for things like that LOL

Just looked on here yesterday for the same as we tried another to no good avail. Narrowed it down to North Raleigh Medical Center, Wake Internal Medicine and Imperial Center Family Medicine.

I also use Duke Primary Care. They're great, most lab work is done in house. It's easy to get an appointment, and they have an in house urgent care for the evenings and weekends. I go to the Knightdale office

My PA is Jeannie Eyman @ Imperial Family Medicine. I love her. She came recommended to me and I definitely would recommend her to others. A full doctor is so over-rated. Jeannie spends time with you and defnitely doesn't rush you out. Also the office gets you in very quickly (like that day if it is urgent).

Another vote for Imperial Center Family Medicine. Dr. Jacokes is my primary, but I have seen all the PAs. Jeannie Eyman, her husband Adam Schwartz and Angela Purcell have been particularly helpful for me. I have a whole host of problems, and they don't give up on me! I can't say enough good things about them.

The only downside for me (now) is that they use Qwest for their labs, and my insurance doesn't cover that. Makes it a real pain to get labs done now.

I am REALLY pleased with Capital Family Medicine. They are located near Duke Raleigh Hospital. 878-8596.

I use a family nurse practitioner, Brinkley Sugg, who does all of my care and I cannot say enough good things about him. He is with Duke Primary Care in Morrisville. I have recommended him to friends and they have all loved him. His bedside manner is fantastic. He takes his time to sit and talk with me and opens the computer chart and walks through it with me before coming up with a treatment plan together.
