Good list. I've done most of them. The museums Downtown are good. I'm looking forward to the Downtown Farmers Market starting back up in May, I bought stuff from there every week in September.
Here's my personal list (that I created when I moved here) - not exclusive to Raleigh:
-Duke Gardens
-NC Museum of Art
-NC Museum of Natural Sciences
-Durham Bulls game
-Umstead State Park
-Pullen Park
-Museum of Life and Science
-Lake Johnson Park
-Duke University Lemur Center
-JC Ralston Arboretum
-Eno River State Park
-Bond Park
-American Tobacco Trail
-Duke/UNC (local colleges)
-Shelley Lake
-Lake Lynn
-Jordan Lake
-Al Bueller Cross Country Trail
-Lake Crabtree County Park
-Apex Community Park
-Nasser Museum of Art
-Falls Lake State Recreation Area
-Durant Nature Park
I think it is a good list to share with those coming to visit or those thinking of moving here AND for those that can't find anything to do here!!!
Enjoy!
Thanks!
I have 10 of those on my list for our next visit in May. This time we're staying for a week so I'm looking forward to doing a lot, and revisiting places we enjoyed last time.
