I'm accumulating a list of places to visit! While looking at your recommendations in Cary, I stumbled upon the Mayton Inn. This new inn has an outdoor terrace where they have live music. My favorite part: on Sundays they have "Yappy Hour" with drink and food specials and dogs are welcome!
They can't have happy hour (or yappy hour) specials on drinks. In NC, by state law, you bars can only have all day specials, not just during specific hours. It's one more way the state keeps the prices of booze too high here.
Yeah, I know. I'm whining. But the state liquor system and laws are one of my pet peeves.
But thanks for the heads up about this place. We'll be bringing the dog over there soon!
Wine 101 is in a strip mall but has a wine and beer bar with some outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed inside. They are in Raleigh, Wake Forest and Wendell.

Preachin' to the choir. I hate the ridiculous liquor laws here too. I miss stores like Liquor Barn. These ABC stores just don't cut it. Middle of the road mediocre.
I'll look for you at Yappy hour.
