I've seen boiled peanuts in a can recently at Wal-Mart. Grocery stores used to sell them. I don't remember seeing a boiled peanut stand local like you see in southeastern NC and SC.

Flea market at state fairgrounds (Raleigh). I haven't been there lately but there used to be someone selling them each weekend.

I've made my own using green peanuts (not literally green, just uncooked) that I got at the farmer's market. It's stupid simple, and there are recipes all over the net. That said, make sure you give them a sniff before buying; one batch I bought had fungus.

I'm pretty sure the gas station at the corner of Airport Blvd and Chapel Hill Rd in Morrisville sells them. Not the Shell, the Triangle Mini Mart across the street.
